Setting the Main SMTP Address of a Public Folder via Scripts

Our users love Exchange Public Folders and consequently using them heavily. I've noticed that Exchange assigns each Folder an SMTP Address. Is it possible to set a different SMTP Address for the Folder and this new one as the main SMTP Address via scripting?

Since we literally have thousands it would be a great help to do this through scripting.
