Does anyone know the command to have sco unix logins automatically logoff after a certain period of time? Also does this command work on all user accounts?

goes into user's .profile. So in that regard, the command only works on those users that have it activated. Ed Fair

I thought idleout was limited to root usage and was system wide. (5.0.4, 5.0.5)

I use the idleout command. Type idleout 3:0 as root and this will logout ALL users that have not been active for the past 3 hours. Quite effective. It does tie up a terminal though.

You are correct. Your reply gave me the incentive to look on a 5.0.5 I was working on this morning. Probably hadn't looked at the manual pages since 5.0.2 ,if then.
