Hi all,
We’ve just set up a new LAN. We imported our old message folders from O/E 6 into the new Profiles that use Outlook XP. In Outlook I’ve changed it to be the Default mail folder, both through Tools / Options / General & through the Internet options – choosing it as the Programme to use for the Email Internet service. After choosing it as the Internet service, when you go back in – the change has reverted back to O/E as the default mail folder. If I open O/E & go into Options / General, the "This application is the default Mail Handler" is greyed out so I can’t change it. Has anyone come across problems changing the default mail folder from O/E 6 to Outlook XP? If so can you please give me some pointers as we can’t user our Email just now

When I rebuild my box I simple delete the new, empty, mail folder and start outlook. It then complains about the absence of the file and throws up a file selection dialogue box. I then browse to the location of my mail folder, which I keep on another partition, and select it. Stop and restart Outlook; Say yes to the new folder and away you go.
