Setting default values for a parameter field 1

Crystal Reports version 8.5.

I want to use data from a database field as default values for a parameter field. My problem is that I want the list of default values to be updated with new/changed data from the table every time the user runs my report. How can I solve this? The user does not have Crystal Reports.
