Have had to recreate my dns server. We ae SOA for a domain that we do not use--bought a new one. Our ISP hosts our newname.org, while we create an alias domain newname.org in our local dns that is really our freebie xxx.xxx.k12.nj.us. I can't figure out how to do this. If I directly add newname.org, I end up adding our internet domain into our internal dns. When I use a cname record, I don't get an option to change from .us to .org. Just not familiar enough with dns to know how to do this. Any help out there? Have to get my internal dns to know how to resolve newname.org Thanks.
