Hello,
I recently had an unzip trial offer application program expire. I am trying a new unzip program now. The old one had an installer. The new one does not, it is just an EXE file.
After installing the old unzip program, I noticed that everytime I double clicked on a ZIP file, this unzip program would get get opened and begin it's function of unzipping the object I just double clicked on. A wounderfull feature!
Now, after it has expired, whenever I double click a ZIP file icon, I get the expiration notice and then the registration "pay up" prompt.
How can I get this to stop and get the new unzip program to open by default when double clicking on ZIP programs?
How can I apply this to other programs? i.e., how can I set certain programs to open certain file types by default after double clicking on file objects under Win 98 ?
