Hi All,
I have a task to set all the user's passwords to a default value, and i have around 500 users now.I went thru the bo docs to reset all the user's pwds at once, but no use.Is there any way that we could set/reset all the users pwds at once with a default values.
Thanks

One thing that comes to my mind is

If you want to reset the Password to null for all the users then one can directly update the repository table. Now if you want to give some other default password then the problem I see is how to get the encrypted password so that it can be updated. Updating or reseting the password to NULL is possible.

Note: Even though its a simple operation BO doesn't advice direct manipulation of Repo Tables.

The NULL solution is the best one. Or you could set a password for 1 user and then cut the text out of the encrypted password. Then, you could use that text in a simple update statement to set them all to the same value.

I was wondering is there any way from supervisor to do this at one shot.I think its not possible.
Thanks you all

Actually, you likely can export the users, and then modify the file that is exported to set the password and then import it back. The only thing you'll have to worry about is to change the "action" indicator so that you are updating a user instead of creating a new one.

This is documented in the Supervisor Manual.
