So I was given an old MDB that really should be redesigned, but I don't have the time. Anyways there are several forms on there with loads of text boxes and comboboxes. But the order on them is off. I have to move from box to box via the mouse. Hitting TAB seems to jump from control to control rather haphazardly on the form.

Is there any quick and dirty solution to set tab to jump from control to control in a specific order. Without rebuilding the form.

I Appreciate any help or Guidance
_Eric

All you have to do is set the form to design mode, Right click on the detail and select tab order. Set the tab orders by field name on the text box and location of the text box. After you have set up the order click ok. Then go back and check the form. [sig][/sig]

Yes open your form in design view
Note the name of each item and write it down or key it in notepad.
Put them in the order you want to go in.
then go to "View" menu "TAB order"
you can move the items up or down according to which you want first. First is the top one. To move an item click in the gray space to the left of it, so it's highlighted then let up on th emouse button. Re-click in the gray space and drag it up or down. There is also an "Auto Order" check box which will do a resonable job but it may follow different rules than you.
You could use the auto order to get it close then make some adjustments.
You'll see what I mean about writing them all down ahead of time cause once you open the TAB box you cannot see the name of a text box or item unless you close the TAB box again.

Rather than all that scribbling, just use the "documentor". It can provide the names, (default) locations, TabStop and tab order properties --- and many more.
