set short cut properties in dos(?)

Hi,

Not sure if this would be the best place to ask this question but here goes...

I'm working on windows 2000 sp4.

I want to create a shortcut (programatically, initially through dos - but if I get my way later by using visual studio c++), but for the mo I have to use dos scripts.

My short cut is to an executable with the "Start In" directory set to a specific dir (which will be different to the exe directory).

Can anyone help/or at least point me in the right direction?
