MICS 7.1, set relocation was turned on and a few phones were moved sucesfully except for the operator phone. with set reloc turned on you unplug the phone move to new loc and comes up with the wrong extension. move the phone back to its originall location and the correct extension is there. This is the second time on this system where I will have to go and move the cross connect. Any ideas on why one set extension 221 wont work. This is a T-7316e with no KIM.

I do know that Nortel does not gaurantee it 100%. I have seen older phones that will not relocate. I would try a new phone and see if it does it on a new phone as well.

Have found over time that Set Relocation is NOT infallible.

Likewise. The most common issue I've found with it, if the customer is following the "swap 2 at a time" rule, is line pool buttons going to default programming. I've never had one that wouldn't move a port at all, but it doesn't suprise me too much.

I was wrong in my originall post. I went to move the cross wire yesterday and it was a m7324. Maybee I'll try to give her a new t series phone just to see what happens

Have found out thru experience (trial and error), set relocation only works if you move/swap 2 phones at a time. Moving one phone to a new location won't work. Either move the phone and x-connect wire or go into programming and change the DN there under system programming.
