I am trying to colour a box to very specific settings.

Hue163, sat 222, lum 232
Red 212, green 219 Blue 252

However, when I try to create these in Custom colours as I change the RGB the HSL settings change automatically and vice versa. So I can get my RGB settings correct but my HSL settings are just off!

Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong or am I going to have to live with the undocumented feature.

Can I control HSL in formula, I know I can set colour as Color(212, 219, 252)

This is how it is supposed to work, changing the HUE value will automatically change the colour values. I f you click on the ? for help and select Hue you will see this.

specifies the hue of a colour. if you change the hue, the values for red, green and blue will be changed to match.

Thanks again.

Seems odd that MS Word allows me to set up shading to those exact settings, but I can not replicate in Crystal.

Got around problem by tweaking RGB settings until they match the same colour on a word document.

That was fun!!
