Hi, I need set ORACLE_SID abcd enviroment variable on win 2000 server. Under System/Advaced/Enviroment there are two kinds of variables, user and system, which one I should use? do I need specify path? or just like:

system value
ORACLE_SID abcd

Thanks

hi lweng
i dont know much about ORACLR
but if u want individual user environment settings to be modified then use the user
and if u want to apply the variable to all users
then use the global
i dont think u'll need to specify the path
they are just environment variables
