set crossdefine on ? installing new storage agent

Hello,

I'm currently installing a new storage agent on my existing configuration which has already 3 storage agents running and was installed by a 3rd party company.

I found in the doc that I must set the "crossdefine" option to 'on', but in our configuration it is set to OFF

Do I need to set it to ON ? (I have only 1 tsm server and 4 storage agents now)
