Hi,

I presume that is there no longer any need to learn set-based commands (CatOS commands)? As it is no longer in the BCMSN course?

cheers,
Andrew

Hi,

many thanks,

cheers,

You will jot need it for future exams.

Learning set based commands is no longer part of official Cisco curriculum. Cisco is pushing hard for everyone to upgrade to IOS (native) for switches. With that said, is there a large installed base of set-based switches? Definitely. If you don't know set-based, even though Cisco doesn't emphasize it, you have a high probability of running into set-based or hybrid switches out in "the real world".
