Hello,
Does any have the answer to removing the first blank line in the text file when using SET ALTERNATE.
Documentation states use ?? however it doesn't work properly. It does remove the first BLANK line but adds spaces in front of the first data line.

i.e.
data line1
data line2
data line3

Thanx in advance...

To start with, I would set the SET ALTERNATE to a temporary file name. Then reopen the file with FOPEN. After discarding the first line, rewrite the rest of the file to the file name you wanted. This may seem tedious and indirect, but it work for me.
