Simple one this, just can't find the solution!! I have a table with one field with one entry (a time/date stamp from another DB). What I need to do is set a variable based on the tables contents. I am currently using a 'round-the-houses' approach, but this involves a maketable, which I don't really want to do. Anyone got a snippet of code I can use?

Thanks in advance

Have you tried using DLookup?

VarName = DLookUp("ColName","TableName") Terry L. Broadbent
