Whatto all,

Don't know why this is not working but, its really phasing me now!

We use session variables a lot within our log in screens, we have many sites that all create session variables and are accessed throughout each site, except this one.

I am creating the session variables within a login submit type page, within this page i can call and write these session variables, but when i redirect to the main page (which is in the same directory and part of the same url) I cannot call them, i just get nulls.

As you may guess, this has plagued me for a few hours now, i am not doing anything differently to how the others have been done.

so, is there anything that would stop a session variable passing through for the whole site.

Any help would save my hairline,

Thankyou Dave

Theres nothing worse than an idea when its the only one we have!

Absolutely certain!

Tried everything, i don't think i can hold a session within my site cos whichever page i set a variable in, it loses it by the next page, i've tried using variable names that aren't likely to be used in any of the pages... my favourite being offensive, but nothing.

Is there something i have to do to the folder, although i don't think i've ever had a problem with that.
Maybe iis or dns, but i think they're pretty much the same as the other sites.

About to put fist through machine, i think its trying to kill this project right at the end!!!

Heeelllp..... Dave

sounds like your cookies are not enabled, but that wouldn't make sense if you said that the other sites you are working on are ok. take a look to make sure anyhow A language that doesn't affect the way you think about programming is not worth knowing.

Double check that this is occurring on more than one version of browser as well, there has been quite a few problems with IE6 and session variables that I have had recently...guess I should patch it soon :p
