Here's a weird problem and one I thought I could easily fix.

I cannot get the services window to maitain the last window size and position. So every time I open that window it's minimized and hardly anything is viewable.

Manuall maximizing it works, or course. But it's becoming a PITA....

Any suggestions on how to "fix" this booger.

PS -- it's happening on 4 XP PRO SP2 machines. I have others I could test but haven't yet.

Open it up, get the size the way you want it, then go file->Close. Dont hit the X.

Open it again and see if it opens the size you had it last...

Just tried that, no dice (incidentally it's FILE --> EXIT)

The only solution I can suggest is that you create a new Snap-in for Services and set it up so the resulting view is maximized, save it as such, and use the newly created Console to open your Services snap-in.

HOW TO: Create and Save a Custom Console by Using Microsoft Management Console in Windows XP

worked like a charm....that get's rid of that annoyance...

star for you
