Hello!
I have a quick question regarding resetting g350 gateway password.
I can reset g430 and g450 via services port with Ethernet cable just fine.

My question is (before I drive 2 hours) is the g350 reset the same procedure?
I notice they only have a console port and was giving a console cable. I have never done this and was wondering if I can use the same procedure as I would for services port?
I don't want to have to install hyper terminal and I don't have a serial connection on laptop. I do however have a usb to console cable adapter.

Please tell me console and service port use the same procedure so I can just SSH into the device?

Thanks in advance!

NO unfortunalty the console port is 9pin from laptop to rj45 on the system

9600 baud rate
no parity
8 data bits
1 stop bit
no flow contro

Use putty or similar no need for hyperterminal ,

This just happened to me.. the G350 has a specific cable (rj45 on one end and db9 on the other) to use. While it is a standard type of cable, their pinouts are a bit different. I had to buy one from my BP, as I didn't have the time or the spare piece parts to try and make one.

I now know I can use putty and need to use the com/usb port to db9 to R45 connector. Thanks Montyzummer and wpetilli for the clarification
