Services not starting

Our SQL server, running 8.6 with the SQL module on a Dell Poweredge Server with a DLT tape drive - SQL 2000, ran fine for about a year and last night it didn't run. I checked the services and they did not start. OK, I checked the my passwords, etc and they still do not start. I get an error of 1057 Acct name is invalid or does not exist. Some give me an error about the dependencies didn't start but it seems to be related to the invalid name. Nothing else has changed that I'm aware of. I have changed the Bewinui file name too. Any other suggestions?

Hi,

It's possible the account has become corrupt. Try creating a test account to see if that will work.

Thanks for the suggestion. Turns out it was a DNS issue.
