Hi guys I am running CR 8.0.1.8 and I wanted to know if there is any service packs available beyond what I have. I went to the CR Buisness Objects site but was unable to get support. I guess they only keep patches and service packs back to 8.5.

thanks,
mstelmac

Did you manage to track the service packs down? I've been asked a similar question by a customer who's base CR8 installation keeps crashing on WIndows 2000, and have had no luck so far.

Neil,
The crystal reports help desk blew me off and recommended that I use their users forum section. This section helped but all I really wanted was to find out the most current version of CR8 and a list of patches I was missing.

So far I have found that on top of CR8 you should install:
actxviewwin_en.zip
cross-tab.zip
crpaig80.zip
dbexdrvrwin_en.zip
scr_textexportscpi.zip
sr858_8010c_setup.zip

These patches helped us out alot. Especially in the area of formatting.

Thanks...

Not long after I posted my initial message, after a long search I found <which presumably contains some of the same updated files. This fixed the problem for my customer. I missed the reference to dbexdrvrwin_en.zip though, so that might be worth following up on.

I have a machine with CR 8.0 developer that I have successfully patched. Now I need to patch machines with only the runtimes.

When I used CR8_main, I got a message saying that Crystal was not registered on the machine and I needed to re-install.
The runtime is installed as part of a 3rd party database application. I will contact them, but I need to demo a report that only runs on a patched machine at one of our sites tomorrow. Are there any patches specifically for the runtime?

TIA

Our provider says it must be "our environment".

I have a report that looks a through a status table and sets date variables for lastreferral, lastopen, lastclose etc, and then displays these in a client footer. The variables are declared shared as they are used in a contacts sub-report to determine when a next contact is required. The report worked until recently when I made more of the vars shared. At that point, the first page was perfect, the first row of the second page was accurate, but these dates were then carried through all clients to the end of the report.

The report works on my patched development machine. I patched another developer machine with the main, dev and export drivers hotfixes and now that works. I installed developer on yet another another machine and when patched, that also works. The patches have no effect on machines with just the rdc runtime. The readme pdfs with the patches describe bugs affecting shared vars, running totals not getting carried from one page to another. Not quite the same, but close. So is there any way to get the rdc patched?
