I have a Windows server 2003that keeps shutting itself down for no apperant reason. i am geetng an event log error of 6008 but nothing else. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this?

Thanks in advance for any help!!

You are not giving much detail to go on but it sounds like it is blue screening and rebooting itself through an autorecovery mechanism (could be OS or Hardware).

This is a long shot, but I have a W2K3 box that had a similar symptom and the cause was Undelete from Executive Software.

Have you tried unchecking the Automatically Restart box under System Properties- Advanced- Startup and Recovery? Maybe it will stop the reboot and show you whats going on instead.

Actually I just did that!

Thanks for the feedback!!
