Okay, I am not totally sure this is the best forum for this question, but it seems to fit most closely.

My question is this...

If I am running a web site off one server, what can be done to essentially direct requests elsewhere if that server goes down/fails/crashes?

For example, we use "Custom DNS" by dyndns.org as our dns provider. They say there is no solution involving them for my question. I would like to have the site hosted in a separate location, for example - regular server can be hit normally by going to if that server is down, I would like the user to somehow get redirected to say... as a back up.

any suggestions?
