Hi

Looking at installing an exchange server in the same site, then physically move this server to another location 50miles away.

Will this work ? Both sites have domain controllers, and they are on the same domain.

thanks in advance

Yes. I'd make sure directory replication backfill (which happens when you first install it into the site) is completed before you remove the server again.

The remaining server will queue messages for the offline server until it reappears on the network.

If the IP address changes because of different subnets etc at the different sites, fix the name resolution issues (at both sites) whilst it's offline, otherwise it will cause problems.
