Server hangs once we log in

We have a file server in our office. when ever we login to the server manually then the server hangs and does not respond. the only option will be is to restart the server. this acts as a file/print server. This is also a Exchange server. We have a DC and ADC they both also behave the same manner. All the servers run W2k Server.

When we log in using TSC then we do not face this problem. can someone help me with this.

Note: There are no errors in the event viewer.

Digital certificate ran out for 6.x version of APC software on 27th July 2005. If you reboot a server running that s/w, you are in trouble!
