Server Edition MOH

first the docs say you can use an external music on hold source if your server edition has an external expansion unit. I have a 500V2 attached but there is no option to select the external MOH on the primary server. wav file only. This is more a complaint about poor docs than anything.

Looking for help on this: I have a wav file I have been using on IPO's without fail for years and years. holdmusic.wav, 16bit, mono, 8khz, 31seconds. Music is now horribly distorted to caller on server edition 8.1. I loaded it via manager onto the server edition as well as the expansion unit SD cards.

Is there something special needed for the server edition MOH file? Anybody able to get external MOH working with server?

I was being a little lazy by posting before digging in deeper. I "re-converted" my file which has always been good enough with the 500's with this free file converter [URL unfurl="true"]http://www.nch.com.au/switch/[/url] and the resulting file was quite a bit smaller than the starting file. Not exactly sure what it did different, but it is working now.

for reference: holdmusic.wav, 8Khz, 16 bit, mono, pcm wav. mine is 31 seconds, I read elsewhere the limit is 89 seconds
