We have a server that has just blue screened with an inaccessible boot device error. We need to be able to get the data off of this drive. The server has a SCSI drive in that is being mirrored using 2000 (software mirror)server over to another SCSI drive. Is there a way to pop the drive into another server and copy the data from the drive so that our users can access the data once again?

What would be the correct way to do this?

TIA,

Chris

You should be able to just unplug the bad SCSI drve and be able to boot up from your mirrored drive.

You can then take the bad drive out, hook it up to another computer and try for some data recovery. If not go buy another SCSI drive and re set up your mirror from the good one that's left.
