server busy error when trying to define new site

Each time I try to define a new site in dreamweaver, I get the message:

Server Busy
This action cannot be completed because the other program is busy. Choose 'Switch To' to activate the busy program and correct the problem.

I'm not running any other program and I've tried rebooting with no improvement.

Does anyone have any ideas?

gareth7, do you have IIS, PWS or some other form of server running?? Try disabling it and see if that fixes the problem.
