I'm having to do research on Windows 2000 and Windows Server 2003 server backups in an Active Directory environment that also offer system state data backups to tape and/or storage devices.
Can someone give me some tips on good backup software and equipment?

I realize that ntbackup will backup the system state data.
Thanks.

I have been using Veritas' product, the Server Suite latest version, and I like it very much. As to a recommendation on a tape drive, it depends on how much data you want to backup.

I use Brightstor V 9.0 have done multiple network restores of AD, system state, SQL, Exchange and files etc in a DR test environment with no problems. I like it.

Thanks folks for your quick reponse to this question.
I will use your info for further research.
Have a great day.
