Server 500 error when uploading file over 2.5MB

Has anyone ever seen this problem? Uploading a file under approx. 2.5Mb is fine. But, when trying to upload a file that is over approx. 2.5Mb, the web server kicks an immediate Internal Server 500 error.

have you changed the timeout to be 900 if it as iis server ?
