Server 2008 and Terminal Server

I have a quick question, I have windows server 2008, and was looking into setting up terminal server. would i need a terminal router for the security or would i be ok without it? and would i be able to set up a machine with linux and make that into a router?

Get a fairly cheap hardware firewall router. If you run a machine setup as a firewall it will cost a couple hundred a year in electric, plus A/C added load, and repairs.
