Server 2003 Standard No Security Tab

I have a Windows 2003 Standard Server that has Main drive that contains Windows 2003 Server and all programs installed on it. I have a Raid 5 with 3 scsi drives that holds all my data files. This Drive is drive e: If I go to the properties of main drive I have a security tab. If I go to a folder and go to properties it doesn't have a security tab. Any folder I go to on either drive doesn't have security tab.

Both drives are NTFS. The drive is setup as a dynamic disk. I have compared to another server that works fine and the only difference I see is the other server is setup as a basic disk and not dynamic. Not sure if this could be a problem.

I have tried the following.
Using windows to create a share.
regsvr32 rshx32.dll
Verifying permissions of rshx32.dll
Checking Active Directory to make sure Advanced Features were checked.

Any help would be appreicated. I am trying to share quickbooks company file on this server. Only one person can access it without getting an error. I did check opportunistic locking and that didn't solve the problem.

Open Windows Explorer. Choose Tools, Folder Options, View.

At the bottom of the list, uncheck to use Simple File Sharing.

Windows 2003 Server does not have simple file sharing because it is part of the domain. I did find that only the main folders in the drive do not have security tab. If I go in farther then a security tab is there.

Have you tried viewing the Security Tab logged on as a different user? Can you view the Security Tab on those folders if you browse from, say, a Windows XP client?

I have tried logging in as 3 different users with 2 of them having admin rights. I also tried to create a new user but that didn't work either.

Can't see it by browsing from an xp computer either.

Was your server built on a fat32 partition?

Hey check group policy:
configuration -> administrative templates -> Windows components ->
Windows explorer ->
Remove Security Tab

Or run cacls \windows\system32\rshx32.dll
so we can see the perms on this file.

Do you have tabs on folders not on the root?
