In the past, we have been using Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) here in the office so that we can all have internet access while still having all the advantages of being attached to our local domain. Yesterday afternoon, I installed SP1 of Windows Server 2003. Upon doing so, we seemed to have lost ICS and are forced to use a neighbor's unsecured wireless connection to get out on the net. Luckily, everything else on the server still runs as it should. As you may know, we host our own web sites and handle our e-mail locally with MS Exchange Server 2003.

I know that SP1 replaces ICS with the Windows Firewall functionality that came part of XP SP2. Unfortunately, I cannot appear to restore the service. Anyone have any ideas?

Run Routing and Remote Access. One of the choices is for your server to be used for other computers to connect to the Internet.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark
