I hope you have not already all these services before test one by one.
First: is your server also a(the) Domain Controller ?
The first service to enable is DHCP
If the server is DC, enable if not done during dcpromo DNS.
DHCP/DNS
Wire a client: ie WinXP, dont join in domain,
set TCPIP connection as "Obtain an IP...."
and issuing ipconfig/all from cmd, verify your ws
takes an IP in the range you gave and has DC as primary DNS.
If all of above, join the box in Domain.
FILE/PRINTER
On server share a folder (modify permissions),
install a printer (also a Generic Text on LPT1, even if does
not exist) share it and verify perms.
At ws from start run, enter \\servername
and see what happens.
WEB
Do you mean to build a web-server on your srv or
give to ws capability to surf on internet?
If 1st, verify in ifconfig in ws that Default gateway is your router, and in DNS server, cfg forward zone
If 2nd, add IIS on Windows Component
FTP
If you want use Windows tool, add IIS, and browsing in
IIS setup, add FTP service
For these 2 last, domain is not necessary, while for
file and print sharing, working in Ddomain is suggested
(also if DC and File share are not on the same box)
