We just switched hardware from a Linksys Router to a PIX 501 and all workstations on our network can access the internet but our sever can't. I know that the workstations are obtaining their IP's from the PIX internal
DHCP server and the MS server 2003 is supposed to have a static internal IP. Also, users can still logon to the server and use its resources. Any ideas would help a lot.

Thanks,
Steve

What is the IP address, subnet mask and default gateway of the server? Compare that to one of the machines that can browse the web and post info please. Also list the DNS info.

Everything is the same for the workstations as it is the server. The only difference is that The TCP/IP settings for the workstations are set to "Obtain automatically". The server, on the other hand, has a specified IP address and the DNS points to the PIX. Also, the default gatewy points to the PIX as well. I know this is not all the info you requested, but I will post it when i get to the office.

Thanks,
Steve

The DNS shouldn't point to the PIX. On the server, put this IP in a web browswer 216.109.112.135. If you get the error page for yahoo, then your problem is simply a DNS issue. Your server should point to a valid DNS server that will accept requests from that IP.
