We have several server 2003 boxes in our office, some with OEM licenses, some with Open Volume licenses. We regularly take cloned copies of the hard drives from these servers to our test lab which appears to have identical hardware to our production environment. Suddenly everytime we bring a particular OEM licensed drive over to the test environment it prompts us to reactivate it within 3 days. We have been unable to determine what difference there may be between the production and test environents to cause this. So our first question is what components are actually involved in this process?
