I am somewhat confused.
I want to use my linksys router and use a 2003 server to manage my network (using AD). I've listend to the advice on this board and know that I should have the DHCP server be the Win box and not the router.

Is there a way to have the server connect to the ISP for internet access (one NIC), and then have another NIC connect to the local network? And could I thus use an "internal" static IP instead of having to get one from the ISP?

Thanks!

You will need two IP Addresses, one per card. The NIC connected to your ISP will require an IP Address from your ISP and the Local Area NIC will require an IP Address within your LAN
