I am trying to use group policies to make some changes to all of the machines on our network. All of our domain controllers are server 2003 enterprise edition SP2 R2. The xp machines are doing what is expected but our Vista machines are not. For example we have a WSUS server and a gpo that tells the workstations to use this server for updates. The xp machines do this and the users cannot make changes to auto updates on those PCs. The vista machines do not seem to be applying this policy and the users are able to make changes to auto updates. We also have a gpo in place to disable the windows firewall. Again it works on the XP machines but not the Vista. I know that Vista uses a different gpo file format than what 2003/XP does so is there a way to apply a gpo to vista machines on a server 2003 domain?
