Serial Number in Crystal Reports

Can anybody tell me how to generate serial numbers through Crystal Reports. (Version 8).

What do you mean "generate serial numbers" ? And why do you want to use Crystal Reports ?

Hi Strannik,

Sorry, it was a mistake on my part. What I meant was I want to generate a report where there should be a column depicting serial numbers for each row that comes in the detail line from an Access table. Moreover, I will not be using Crystal Reports but the Data Report component of Visual Basic 6. How can show a column of serial numbers corresponding to each row. I do not have a field for serial numbers (not required) in the Access table but want the serial numbers to appear in the report. Can you help me after this piece of info.
