I have a new 2811 router that I am setting up for the first time. It came with IOS 12.3(8)T8 and I am noticing some differences from what I am used to. I installed a WIC 1DSU T1 V2 card as a serial interface, but currently in the config it shows Serial0/0/0 is administratively down. Why does the inteface show as # 0/0/0 and how do I change it from administratively down? NOTE: I do not have this plugged into my network yet (nothing into the serial or FastEthernet ports), I'm just into the console.

The interface is Serial0/0/0 because the 2800-series routers have a slightly different numbering scheme. Go to interface config mode and do a "no shutdown" to bring it administratively up.
