Hi

I have a main report and 10 subreports. In the main report Report Header, I have a subreport called Cover Page. The cover page have an upper section which should start from the top of the page ie (y=0). It has a lower section which I would like to print at the bottom of the page. Since the main report has page footer where I am showing the page no, the cover page bottom section does not print at the bottom. Instead it has some space above of the bottom of the page which I assume is the height of the page footer. Could some one suggest, How I could solve this?

Krishna,
If you don't see your page number at the bottom of the "Report Header" page (you said you print the page number in the page footer), the page footer is not printing on that first page. The problem must be with the size of your print area vs. the size of the subreport. Check your page margins and the size of the subreport. My guess is this is where the problem is.

Dear Jai

I have checked the new page after for report header. Thats why I was not seeing the page footer in the first page. Now the trouble is that I have one page footer for the report header and another for the rest of the pages. I created 2 sections in the page footer, the PFa for the rest of the pages and PFb for cover page. Then I conditionally suppressed the PFa and PFb depening upon the page number. But in my first page the page footer (ie PFb) prints at some positions above the bottom of the page which I assume is the height of PFa. If I remove the conditional suppress and check suppress option for the section, then the problem disappers. Can somebody explain whats happening?

I have created 2 sections because I have a line which cant be conditionally suppressed. Is there a way to solve this issue?

Thanx in advance

Krishna,

Instead of checking the NewPageAfter check box, make the report header section of the report large enough to fill up the page. The NewPageAfter is what is suppressing your page footing.

Krishna,

Here is an easier solution. Divide Report header section into two sections, a and b. Place the page footer message in section b. Go into the Format Section screen for report header b and check the Print at Bottom of Page box.

This will do it.
