Hi,
I have a problem while trying to send an e-mail from Access 2000 with Outlook 6, using the method SendObject of the DoCmd object.
If I set the EditMessage parameter to true (or let it true by default) everything works: I have a preview for the e-mail and, after I have press "Send" the message is sent).
If I set the EditMessage parameter to False instead, at first a message is raised saying that an Application is trying to send an e-mail. If I confirm, an error message occurs that says that one or more addresses can't be found (note that the addresses are the same of before when the mail was sent!!!).
Has Anyone got this problem before?
Thanks in advance,
Elena

This message you see, you can thank the people who wrote all the viruses we have that used Outlook's lovely features of automation.
So In Outlook 2000 with Service pac 1 or 2 you got this message. Outlook 2002 came built it.

This is to warn you that a program wants to send an email behind the sceens which is what Access is doing and what a virus would do as well. A virus the, Melissa virus we all heard about a copy of itself and sent it to all the people in your email list.
Now this new message allows you to stop a milaciuos virus in its tracks but of course causes problems for legitimate things.

I don't know if it can be shut off or not.

Thank you DougP for the information, but I cannot understand a thing: I can bear the message that warns me that Access is trying to send an e-mail, but what I find extremely hard to overcome is the error about the addresses, and thus the fact that the program doesn't let me send the e-mail, after all. Is it a problem of my own configuration only or it is always like that?
Thank you very much for your help,
Elena
