I have set up sendmail on a server running Solaris 8 and I'm getting the following error message:- Deferred: Name server: mailhost: host name lookup failure.
I've set up sendmail numerous times before and never had this any ideas?

Running the default sendmail.cf relays to mailhost.YOURDOMAINNAME. If you don't have an entry for mailhost, the default sendmail.cf will error in this fashion. Of course bringing up sendmail without a proper sendmail.cf is asking for trouble.
