In the .mc file, does it matter where I put the define(whatever?)clauses or should they go after a particular FEATURE?

Thanks

from what i remember it doesn't matter, although i'm perfectly willing to be proved wrong :)

Dan,
Here is the generally accepted order to structure a sendmail.mc file
VERSIONID - When used this must be first
OSTYPE - Defined before any other macros
DOMAIN - Next when used
DEFINE - Commands that affect a FEATURE macro that will be specified in the macro configuration file must come before that FEATURE macro
FEATURE - Macros here
DEFINE - Commands that specify variable settings for the configuration, other than those that affect a previously identified FEATURE, come after the FEATURE macros
MAILER - Last basic macros defined in the file
