AutoCad seems to do things differently -

SendKeys does not seem to reach AutoCad. Maybe they have it that way to force users to upgrade to Lisp.

Any ideas - nothing from SendKeys shows in AutoCad command history. Any API's that would get through?

Why use sendkeys - AFAIK autoCAD has its own object library that can be controlled via VBA ? Are you trying to create something that doesn't have the appropriate command in AC ??

Macro's and Lisp come at a price and the company I am working at have installed ACad Lite 2004 as standard. So no macro's. The fact that I am the only one pushy enough to try and I have 6 weeks to the end of the contract means I can't insist on anything new. If I do enough with what I have and my VBA skills then maybe tey will offer more permanent work. I figured a problem tonight that I expected hours of struggle in about 15 minutes - they are impressable.

If ACad does VBA then I would welcome it, if and when. But it has definitely blocked the SendKeys approach - which, lets face it, does no more than harm a bad typist - and ACad is a command based app still. They haven't even loaded VBA help on Office 2000 - how short sited is that?
