Ok, I have asked this question once before, and I believe that my setup is different then what you guys think I have.

I am going to re-iterate my system setup, and then ask my question.

I have Windows 2000 with Exchange Server 2000. In the Exchange Server program, when I expand Servers --> Proliant1600 --> Protocols --> SMTP --> Default SMTP Virtual Server, here is where my settins for any incoming email from the Internet comes in and also this is where internal messages are relayed through. When I expand Connectors, I have an SMTP connector where I send my Internet Mail to my ISP.

So, when an incoming messages comes from my ISP, it is sent to a NAV Internet Gateway where it first checks for Viruses. When it is clean, it ports the email to the the Exchange Server to port 25 (It ports it to the Default SMTP Virutal Server, which is port 25, not through the Connector). If there is an SMTP (email) match, it sends to the apropriate receipient. If there is not, it is for some reason Quarentined on the NAV Internet Gateway.

I think that I need to switch these to things around. I think that I need to receive Internet mail thought the Connector (so I can put delivery restrictions for some people NOT to send to internet, and in return, I can restrict certain Internet email address from being sent to my work place.)

If I remove someones SMTP address in the Virtual Server, that person CAN'T receive email from the internet, but in return, can't recieve any emails from anyone Internally. Strange.

So, I guess to really state what I am asking for is, I am still haveing troubles restricting certains users from sending/receiving external messages. Also, I am having a real hard time tring to block certain emails from the Internet.

I don't have any thing really for reference that a couple of sites. I wish that Microsoft would send an Administrator's Manual when they send this out. I hate Online Manuals.

Any idea or other helpful sites that could help me??

I have had ES2K running live now since March 3rd, and I still am having some configuration problems.

thanks for the help. I hope I made some sence :)
