Sending Errors in App Back to Server

Hello,

I’m wondering if anyone knows anything about sending errors that occur in a program back to a server so that errors can be tracked.

I know many commercial applications use this (says, would you like to send the error to ...) and I have ideas about how it could be done if I wanted to build it from scratch via web services and whatnot.

What I really want to know is, are there any tools inside the .NET framework to handle this? Or any standardized or best practices for this?

how about adding an EventLog component to your form - not to sure on the exact vb code, but i understand this posts an error message to the event log
