I've got a database that sends email updates after it finishes certain tasks. I've just used the "docmd.sendobject" method, and it works fine.

Now I've upgradeded my computer, and I have Office XP (but I'm still using Access 97). When I try to send an email, I get a message box that pops up and says "A program is trying to automatically send email on your behalf. Do you want to allow this?" You have to choose "yes" to get your email sent (the yes button isn't enabled for five seconds).

Does anyone know how to turn off this feature? If not, does anyone know how to go around it? Can you use SendKeys to tell Outlook it's OK?

I really wish they hadn't added these "improvements" to Outlook!

A workaround would be to use a little utility called 'Push the Freakin Button'
This Outlook feature that you dislike is an attempt to prevent virus infected computers from propagating the virus. Using PTFB, will essentially negate this feature.

smah, that is a very cool prog., thanks! "Jack of all trades. Master of none."

Thanks Smah - you get a star.

Right now I've gone back to my old computer, but I'll try the utility once I've switched back.

It's a handy utility for all those 'Do you really want to do that' dialogs that various programs throw up.
