Sending a page with word 2000

Hi
I have a problem with a user trying to send a word document as a page or attachment.
The pc is setup to use outlook 2000 and can see the global address book.
But if I use word to send a page the global address book does not appear.
Has anyone encoutered this.
I have unistalled office and reinstalled to see if this would help but it didn't
