My customer uses 9 digit numeric codes in their Rightfax to put incoming faxes into proper folders. They want to use VDN/Vector to route incoming calls on several 800 numbers to the Rightfax and send the VDN name instead of the ICLID which is pretty easy to do with the VDN. We make the VDN name the numeric folder name.
The issue is that the integration to Rightfax is analog trunks. When calls come in on PRI, route through VDN/Vector to an analog hunt group, get answered by a fax port, they don't see the VDN name. When we test by sending to a digital display station, we do see the correct VDN name so that part is working.
I could not find any docs about what gets sent as the caller info message to an analog station in this type of scenario. Any ideas? I'm thinking the ISDN to analog might pass the caller info but not necessarily the VDN name. We were unable to test directly connected to a fax port since the customer did not have an analog device with a caller ID display. We did try changing the ports from 2500 to CallrID but that did not change anything.
Thanks in advance for your assistance.
